When is the best time to create?

The last best time to create was minutes ago. The second best time is now.

Sometimes you don't have to worry about planning too much. The messy parts sort themselves out when you start moving around and they'll make sense in the long run.

So for now, create!

It’s true that perfection gets in the way, and the messy bits sort themselves out. I was actually talking to @eloitschris the other day about this.

We get nervous to post simple ideas that aren’t planned sometimes, but those same simple ideas end up doing the best. It’s likely because you display a naturally raw product, and aren’t worried about over-editing or curating.

Definitely agree with this! I did have a solid experience with it when I posted something simple yet fun compared to something that I created for a long time but didn't end up satisfying for me. I guess for me it's the process that really got me enjoying instead of the output haha

For anyone interested in this topic, the artist Steven Zapata on youtube has videos and streams where he talks a lot about this stuff and similar topics. He draws, but his advice is really applicable to creation in general.
